Linen: Linen & Towels (including beach towels) are included. The linen is changed twice weekly during July & August. Weekly at all other times.

Cot/Extra Bed: A full size wooden cot with bedding and nets, a listening alarm and a high chair are provided. A zed-bed for an additional child is available at a rate of £50 per week, by prior arrangement.

Catering: A complimentary food hamper is provided giving provisions and wine for a light meal on arrival and breakfast the following morning. There is local cook service for occasional use or whole stay catering – by prior arrangement only. The local supermarket carries a good range of fresh meat, fish and kebabs for the bbq. They offer a delivery service and  speak good English. Alternatively, there are many excellent fish restaurants and meat tavernas near by. Kassiopi also offers a restaurant offering more International cuisine in addition to Italian, Chinese and a wide range of traditional Greek tavernas.

Beaches: The closest beach is 1.5km away in Kassiopi. Within 10 minutes drive there is the blue flag, safe, sandy beach at St Spyridon, a favourite haunt of Gerald Durrell’s in ‘My Family & Other Animals’. Slightly closer to the villa is Kalamaki beach, sandy and popular with families with young children. To the south lies Avalaki Bay, an unspoilt curving shingle beach offering wind-surfing and dinghy sailing. There are many beautiful beaches in Corfu. Even in high summer it is possible to find a secluded cove, only accessible by boat, where you can be alone. Most of the more popular beaches which offer tourist facilities such as tavernas are also within in easy driving reach of the villa.

Boat hire, scuba diving, wind sailing, are all available locally.
Waterskiing, wake boarding and ringos are available in Kalami. (English trained instructors)
Boat trip/fishing trips/excursions: there are numerous options available locally.

Water parks: Aqualand is the biggest, just west of Corfu Town (50 minutes drive), or Hydropolis near Acharavi (20 minutes drive).

Scooter/bike/buggy rental is available in Kassiopi.
Horse riding is available on the Avlaki peninsula.
Tennis: There are courts available to rent in Michelangelo Village in Kassiopi.
Health spa/Gym/indoor sea water pool. Day membership is available. Acharavi.

Golf: Corfu has an 18 hole golf course with a club house attached about 45 minutes drive away in the Ropa valley, which is the agricultural heartland of Corfu. It accepts visiting members.

Special interest holidays

Corfu has a wonderful quality of light, combined with beautiful scenery and an amazing profusion & variety of wildflowers which attract painters and walkers alike, particularly in spring, early summer and autumn. In the main, the walks are clearly defined and range from the coast path to ancient tracks up into the mountains which offer stunning ‘bird’s eye’ views over the island.

The beautiful Venetian capital, Corfu Town, can be visited by car (40 km/ 1 hours drive) or by local bus or boat from Kassiopi. A visit to Town is highly recommended. Kassiopi is 1.5km away. It has a variety of shops, supermarkets, tavernas and ATMs. There are also several English-speaking doctors and a dentist. Kassiopi can also be reached on foot (20-25 minutes walk down through the olive groves). The deserted ancient village of Ano Perithia is within walking distance for keen walkers (12km).
